We are looking for a candidate to fill the position of Construction Supervisor for projects in and around Tiffin, Ohio.
You will be required to perform inspections and tasks on Aqua, Ohio Inc.
waterline per the project requirements.
This could be a great opportunity for those retired and looking for work on a project basis.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Review signed contract agreements between contractor and Aqua Ohio for construction project guidelines.
When renewing or replacing Aqua lines, able to check service lines for type of setting (inside meter or pit meter), whether it a long or short service and the total number of service connections.
Ability to complete a follow-up review of prints and a field check of all plans designed by Aqua when engineering has been completed.
Ability to review video tape of project prior to the start of construction.
Ability to attend pre-construction meeting and complete daily inspections of construction of waterlines including Aqua Ohio lines, developer projects to ensure compliance with Aqua Ohio's standards and regulations.
Ability to locate main line valves and verify operation to ensure shut down.
Perform inspections on all large taps on Aqua Ohio's waterlines.
Verify for delivery of all material when ordered by Aqua to ensure accuracy of delivery.
Along with checking materials out of Aqua stock yard when picked up by the contractor and charging out materials from Aqua stock to ensure accuracy of inventory.
Ability to prepare valve cards and hydrant cares and provide for numbering and placing on distribution map.
Ability to perform the filling of all lines, witness pressure tests, flush and sample for bacteria testing.
Afterwards, deliver the samples to filter plant.
Ability to place new main in service and notify the fire department along with local officials.
Ability to maintain daily inspection reports, mileage reports and time ticks for every project.
Ability to complete as-built documentation per Aqua Ohio, Inc.
guidelines.
Ability to occasionally travel to other project locations within Ohio.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR MINOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Understanding of construction trades and installation work Understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.

years of fabrication, installation and/or construction related experience, required.
Ability to pass background checks, drug tests and MVR check.

Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections.
