Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager, Cardiopulmonary Services, the Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies, procedures, and protocols. Diagnostic testing may include neurology testing (EEGs) as assigned by the Manager, Cardiopulmonary Services.
1. Must be registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
2. Must have a current Ohio License issued by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
3. Must be certified in ACLS, BCLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation or willing to attend certification classes.
4. Knowledgeable of CLIA 1988 regulations for Blood Gas Laboratories.
5. Proficient in arterial blood sampling from brachial and radial sites.
6. Ability to identify and advise on proper respiratory therapy orders in patient's medical record and ability to discuss patient therapies with physicians in a non-judgmental expression when conflicts arise.
7. Basic computer knowledge and ability to use the keyboard.
8. Competent to read, speak and write the English language and possesses accurate medical spelling vocabulary.
9. Position requires corrected vision, corrected hearing, use of two hands and two feet, prolonged standing, bending, stooping kneeling, twisting, reaching; lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, and lifting, turning and positioning patients.
10. Requires valid driver's license with no serious traffic violations (as defined by the MHP insurance provider).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
